Abstract:
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as the global roadmap to achieve a better and more sustainable future. With individuals being the key drivers in eradicating poverty and inequality toward sustainable development, it is necessary to enhance their knowledge, values, behaviors, and skills. An integral part of attaining this is through SDG 4: Quality Education, which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” through the provision of access to quality education. This paper focuses on gathering information on Tier II and Tier III indicators under SDG 4 to give a picture of the current progress in achieving this goal in the Philippines. This scoping study investigates the country's available data sources and methodologies and identifies possible data gaps through literature review and various consultations with the identified stakeholders concerning SDG 4. Lastly, this study endorses priority indicators that are feasible for more extensive methodological research.
